Classes Offered

Our discovery-based curriculum  focuses on the seven essential life skills - focus and self-control, perspective taking, critical thinking, self-directed, engaged learning, taking on challenges, persistence, and communication. Using Bible stories and classic children's literature, we also incorporate the Arizona Early Learning Standards into developmentally appropriate lessons strengthening all the domains of learning: math, science, social studies, language and literacy, physical, health and safety, social emotional, and approaches to learning. Embedded in the academic subjects is the reflection on the life and work of Jesus, spiritual growth, and our responsibility to our neighbors. The basic curriculum involves learning through the discoveries of play. During each session, a variety of interesting, creative and stimulating activities are provided for the children. Project work is foundational to deeper learning, using the children's interests as project topics.

Early Learners

Ages 2 – 3

Early Learners are typically new to the classroom experience.  Through loving guidance and role modeling, children learn how to interact in a group setting, develop social skills, gain independence, and are introduced to basic academic concepts.  Each lesson reinforces that Jesus loves them.

Mothers of Preschoolers
MOPS is an awesome program for any and all mothers with preschool children, infant through kindergarten. MOPS believes that mothering matters and YOU, as a mother, have value and what you do is important! Mothers with young children need encouragement, friendship and insight, and to know that they're not alone as they nurture and tend to the growth of their families!
MOPS provides a caring and safe atmosphere for today's mothers of preschoolers by allowing them to share concerns and creativity, and to build lasting relationships while receiving encouragement from a Christian perspective.
MOPs typically meets the second or third Friday of each month from 8:00-10:30 at the Christ Lutheran Vail Ministry Center, 14600 E. Colossal Cave Road, Vail, AZ 85641.
