About Creation School

The Creation School seeks to strengthen families and community by providing a safe, high-quality, Christ-centered environment, where children will be nurtured in their faith in Jesus, grow in love and respect for others, and experience the joy of learning in developmentally appropriate ways.

Creation Preschool is nestled in the hills of the Sonoran Desert in the Rincon Mountains of southwestern Arizona. We strongly believe that children gain much from connecting with the natural wonder around us. Our guiding philosophy states that each child learns through exploration, and makes sense of the world through intellectual discovery, the physicality of his/her body, an emotional connection to adults and peers, his/her understanding of self, and his/her place in the community, and the wonder and appreciation for the miracle of creation and its Creator. Through the experiences in the outdoor classroom space, children will be able to gain deeper knowledge and understanding throughout all developmental domains.
  • Creation Preschool is just the beginning of your child's educational career. We know that choosing a preschool is an important decision for your family. We hope that in these pages you will find the information you seek to help make that decision a little easier. First and foremost, we consider how God has called each of us to the task of caring for one another. Christ's love for us is reflected as we care for the children in our program. In response, the children learn love for God and one another.

  • The classroom is Christ-centered. Daily worship, praise and prayers are integrated throughout the day. Pictures of Jesus, art activities, and Bible stories are all used to share the message of God's love.“These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.” Deuteronomy 6:6-8
  • The environment is filled with appropriate and stimulating choices from which the children may choose, while learning routines which will help them plan their day.“Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.” Proverbs 22:6
  • We see each child as a unique individual, created by God, with different talents, interests and abilities. Their worth is not based on their achievements, but rather as a child of God.“Jesus said, ‘Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these’”. Matthew 19:14
  • We believe parents to be their child’s first and most impressionable teachers. Parents are always a welcome part of the classroom. “I pray that you may be active in sharing your faith, so that you will have a full understanding of every good thing we have in Christ”. Philemon 1:6
  • We guide the children to develop good social skills, a heart for stewardship, respect for others and for property, responsibility and problem solving skills, because this is our response to our God who has freely given and promised grace and salvation.“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith-and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God-not by works, so that no one can boast.” Ephesians 2: 8,9
