The most powerful force on earth is acceptance by our culture. One of the ways we deal with people who we don’t understand is to mock them and banish them from culture. Then we belittle them, throw away their books and teachings, and relegate them to the trash heap of History. The world tried to do that with Jesus, but His teachings have proven to be true. The words that were heaped as insults on Jesus were actually true. This Lent we will look at those words and see how Jesus got the last laugh as their insults were turned to eternal truths.
