Our duty to love one another is a commandment, not a recommendation or a proposal. We are commanded to do something by Jesus and what He says is quite plain. We should love others in the same way that He loves us, sacrificial and self-giving. There is great importance in us gathering together as a group of people, not only to worship God, but also to love and encourage each other.
