Memorial Day Sermon

Today is a day celebrating faithful service.  Yesterday was Memorial Day, a national day set aside to honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving our country.  Today we will also celebrate those who are called to service in the kingdom of God.  We will learn about one kind of service, the ministry of Deacons.  Jesus calls us to serve. That is our mission.  We are thankful for all those who serve to keep our world safe and spread the gospel.
